Micromax has updated its Unite smartphone series with a fresh arrival today. The device is named Micromax Unite 3 Q372 and it is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Other specifications are 1.3GHz quad-core processor (MediaTek chipset), 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, 4.7inch IPS display with the resolution of 480×800 pixels and dual SIM card support.
The camera units feature 8MP at the back and 2MP shooter at the front. The rear one possesses LED flash and autofocus features too.
3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS are all in there along with 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. There is a slot for microSD card as well. Together the device is available at a price of 6,569INR at Infibeam, one of the online e-commerce platforms in India.
Like always, you can expect a lot of pre-installed applications in the device, also labeled as Bloatwares. Ask me, Chaatz, Clean master, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Hotstar, Quickr, Snapdeal, Unite Lens, First Touch Launcher, Marbles, Giga Jump, MAD, Newshunt, Dr Safety, etc.
Of course, there will be a folder consisting all common Google applications for Android platform. White and Blue are the two colors in which device is available at the moment.
Looking at the design part, there is nothing new. The device looks all simple and just like any other affordable Android smartphone.
Considering the specifications of this device, it looks just like previously announced Micromax Canvas Spark which is priced 5k INR.
Now, if Micromax is thinking that consumers will pay more for the same device, then I’m not sure if they are going to make any success here.
At this moment, Canvas Spark is available only through Snapdeal while this device is definitely going to be available in the offline market and on other e-commerce platforms. Still, it got a lot of competitors to compete with.
