Since two weeks it was expected that Apple can relaunch its outdated and discontinued iPhone 4 in Indian market again in order to get a better share in the Indian market. Today, Apple just did that!
Apple iPhone 4 is relaunched in India at a price of Rs 22,900 while everyone waiting for this deal was hoping for the price tag to be around Rs 15,000. Now with a price tag of Rs 22,900 it will be challenging for a consumer to choose iPhone 4 as there are lots of better options available.

Apple iPhone 4 Specs
Let me first refresh your knowledge of the iPhone 4 which is just made available again in the Indian market by the Apple. I’m sharing the highlights (main features) of it down here.
It got a 3.5 inch display with resolution of 640×960 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display also got oleophobic coating.
The CPU consists of 1GHz single core processor along with PowerVR SGX535 GPU and only 512MB of RAM. The internal storage is just 8GB and there is no microSD card slot.
iPhone 4 is upgradable to iOS 7.0.4 which is the latest version of the software developed for the iPhone by Apple. This is the only feature which is latest or new in the device.
Rear side got 5MP camera with LED flash and there is also a VGA camera on the front. Touch focus feature is there with the rear camera along with HDR and it can record videos of HD (@30fps) quality.
It got additional features like 3G, Wi-Fi (with hotspot), GPS, Bluetooth (v2.1), HTML browser and push email. Accelerometer, gryo, compass and proximity sensors are also there inside.
There is 1420mAh battery inside which offers continuous talk time of 7 hours over 3G network and 14 hours over 2G. This battery life is also lower than what newer iPhone models provide.
Is it worth now?
The specifications and features which iPhone 4 got can be found easily in an Android smartphone with a price tag of lesser than Rs 15000. No doubt, iPhone 4 was a good choice if its price tag was kept around Rs 15000 but with a price tag its being launched its not worth at all.
There are lots of other smartphones available running on newer version of Android (Jelly Bean) and even on Windows Phone 8 OS which features full HD or at least HD resolution, an 8MP rear camera, quad-core or at least dual-core processor and tons of additional features.
Also the iPhone 4 launched in India right now has only 8GB of internal storage and there is no slot for microSD card it in. This particular feature can hurt users even if they make a mind of going for it.
According to me, I’ll always recommend a person to buy either Google Nexus 4 or any other Android smartphone if he has a budget of 23000 or similar.

If Apple launched this iPhone 4 (8GB) with a lesser price tag then it could have been better for both users and also for the Apple. But now I don’t think there will be huge benefits for the Apple. We may see Apple cutting down the prices again soon.
What do you think about this relaunch? Will you buy or recommend anyone iPhone 4 8GB at Rs 22,900?
