Apple fanboys in India have already started placing pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones that are all set to hit the retail shelves on October 17. While this was happening unofficially, there is officially information that from the Cupertino tech titan revealing that the devices will go on pre-order starting from October 7.
In an official statement, Apple India revealed, “iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in India beginning Friday, October 17, from an expansive network of Apple Authorized Resellers. Customers can pre-order iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus begin Tuesday, October 7.”
It has to be noted that Apple has not revealed anything regarding the pricing of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but the details regarding the same have been leaked online via numerous media reports.
Well, going by the ongoing reports, Apple has priced at iPhone 6 for Rs 53,500, Rs 62,500 and Rs 71,500 for the 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants, whereas the larger variant costs Rs 64,500, Rs 71,500 and Rs 80,500 respectively for the 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB models.
Moreover, there is information claiming that the firm will be making the iPhones available via its partners such as Redington, Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals and Reliance.
To recap on specifications, iPhone 6 flaunts of a 4.7 inch display with Retina HD with 1334×750 pixel resolution, whereas the iPhone 6 Plus boasts of a 5.5 inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution.
Apple has used its Apple A8 chipset, second generation 64 bit based SoC in the new models that deliver twice the energy efficiency. The processor is rated to provide an increased processing power of 25 percent and faster graphics by 50 percent.
When it comes to the photography department, both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have 8 MP iSlight primary camera with faster phase detection auto focus, dual LED True Tone flash, f/2.2 aperture, 43 MP panorama shots, FHD 1080p vide recording and slow motion video recording at 240 fps. While the iPhone 6 Plus comes with optical image stabilization, the sensor on the iPhone 6 has only digital image stabilization. Also, onboard is a front-facing 1.2 MP FaceTime HD camera that comes with support for Burst Mode.
