5 Best Budget Android Phone of 2013

June 12, 2013 by sarvesh

Android got the popularity because manufactures were able to provide it with their smartphones having budget price. Samsung stared providing its Galaxy smartphones with very competitive price tags which resulted into the flood of budget smartphones running android.

The thing I discussed above has helped Micromax to become the best emerging brand as it started dealing in android smartphones. If you are also thinking to buy an android smartphone but your budget is not allowing you to go for high end smartphones then you don’t need to feel low.

As I said, there are lots of smartphones available with budget price tags. You can find one best smartphone for you or someone else from the list of 5 best budget android phone of 2013(Till date) that I’m listing below.

Sony Xperia J

Sony is best known for its quality products and luxurious designs. After taking smartphone department under its own privileges, Sony has done good to sell out its android phones.

Xperia J is part of the family and Sony has kept the price tag around 14k INR which makes it count into the budget android phone of 2013.

Sony Xperia J

Xperia J got standard design with every Xperia smartphone have and it looks and feels good in hand. The inside box is powered by Cortex A5 processor featuring 1GHz clock speed and the storage department got 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage along with storage expansion slot.

J holds 4 inch diagonally measuring display featuring resolution of 854×480 pixels and the display supports multi touch as well. The rear camera features 5MP shooter supported by LED flash and there is VGA shooter as well on front.

The data department is supported by 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB port. It runs on ICS 4.0.4 version of android and powered by 1700mAh battery providing decent battery life.

HTC Desire X

HTC have been my favourite because it comes with new design with every new device. Desire X is powered by 1GHz dual core processor with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.

HTC Desire X

The device holds on to a Super LCD display measuring 4 inch and featuring resolution of 800×480 pixels. There is 5MP shooter at back with BSI sensor supported by LED flash but it lacks front camera. You can access internet via 3G, Wi-Fi and connect to other device via Bluetooth and microUSB port.

It also operates on ICS 4.0 version of Android and is powered by 1650mAh battery that provides impressive battery life. HTC has kept the price tag of 15k INR with this device.

HTC One V

I’ve used this device earlier and it is one of my favourite smartphone not because of its features but because of its unique design. It looks very luxurious and also got features to support this tag.

It got 3.7inch display added on LCD2 panel providing HD quality resolution. The CPU is powered by 1GHz processor that is supported by 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.

HTC One V - Budget Android Phone

It features 5MP shooter at rear and HTC says that the device got special processor for camera. When I used the camera then I really experienced that special processor because the device takes pictures really fast and the quality is best than any other 5MP smartphone camera.

The battery life is not impressive but still the device can make out a day easily as it got ICS 4.0 version of android which helps the device to manage battery power effectively. You can buy HTC One V at a price of only 14k INR.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

I don’t recommend people to buy Samsung smartphones but in this list I’ve to keep this device as it got Jelly Bean 4.1.2 operating system which is not there in any device I’ve listed till now. You need to do little home work to find this device on the Galaxy store as it looks similar to every other Galaxy device.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

Another reason of listing it here is that it is powered by quad core 1.2GHz processor which helps it to provide very fast performance and multi0tasking processing. The storage department got 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage along with storage expansion slot.

It got 4.7inch TFT display which provides resolution of 480×800 pixels and got 5MP shooter at rear along with VGA shooter at front. It also supports 3G cellular network. The device is powered by 2000mAh battery which provides impressive battery life. Samsung has kept the price tag with 16k INR mark.

LG Optimus L9

If you didn’t like Galaxy Grand Quattro then you should go for this device. Its reviews are going extremely well as device is meeting the expectations.

It holds 4.7inch display with HD quality resolution and powered by dual core 1GHz processor. The graphics quality is managed by dedicated GPU inside.

LG Optimus L9

The device holds 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and storage expansion slot. The battery inside is 2150mAh that provides impressive battery life as it runs ICS 4.0 version of android.

There is 5MP shooter at rear along with VGA shooter at front. Rest of the features are all similar that you expect to be there in an android smartphone with price tag of 16k INR.

Samsung was bitten by the economic market globally. So, they are now trying their best to keep the rates under flare radar. The more they can innovate variants at this target audience, the more they will be able to settle in slowly. We can never forget NOKIA high end phones were never adored by most people, but the lesser economic phone prices of similar models is what made NOKIA sell like hot cakes in the past.

The main problem with the mobile market it that if you lower the price much you lose the rich buyers but if you make the price too high you lose the economic class completely. The best thing is to hang around in between to attract customers from both the audience segments.
