As expected, Coolpad has announced the Coolpad Note 3 Plus. The phone is the latest entrant in the Coolpad Note 3 series alongside the Coolpad Note 3 and the Note 3 Lite. The device, just like the other two will remain an online exclusive product on Amazon.in, not going on sale on any other portal nor offline.
The Coolpad Note 3 has been a widely recommended phone in the budget category making it a popular pick for someone who is looking for a phone under the Rs 9,000 mark. The Coolpad Note 3 Plus, brings everything that was good about the Note 3, but adds a 1080P Full HD display on the top.
This means, you still have the same MediaTek 6753 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner as well as 13MP+5MP camera combination. The only downside of the device is that it still runs on Android 5.1.1 out of the box, when most of the flagships in the Android world seems to be moving towards Marshmallow. The battery here too is the same 3,000 mAh unit that we saw on the Coolpad Note 3 which is a bit of a bummer since it would be driving a higher resolution display. On the plus side, the phone does retain both, dual SIM functionality as well as LTE with it.
The Coolpad Note 3 Plus will be retailing for a price of Rs 8,999 starting from May 13th. As a result of this launch the Coolpad Note 3 will see a permanent price drop to Rs 8,499.
