Nokia is expected to return to the smartphone game in 2016 after certain clauses in the deal with Microsoft expire. The return will most likely see Nokia run Android on the new smartphones after failed experiments with the likes of Windows Phone and forked Android that we saw on the likes of Nokia X. It is expected that the C1 will run pure Vanilla Android like on Nexus devices, a little like what we saw on the Nokia N1, the tablet that was to rival the iPad Mini but did not really work out.
The device in design alone is very similar to the Nokia N1 which was supposedly very similar to the iPhone 6. You have curved edges on the phone in the renders that have been leaked and pretty much a bezel less display. The renders leaked do not show what OS the device is running with customization or not, but we are basing our guess work purely based on what Nokia has been doing in the past. There is no news about the internals of the device but you would expect it to come with a Snapdragon SoC with at least a 2K display. It does look like the phone does have a Dual tone LED flash in the iPhone 6.
From the renders, the phone has absolutely no slots on the body, which really makes us question the authenticity of the same. The backs seems non removable and with no slots on the body, how would you insert the SIM in the phone? It does seem that the phone will have a Type C USB connector as well as bottom chin speakers like the iPhone and OnePlus One. There is no clarity on the phone release date or which markets would it be available, but with detailed renders out, you would expect that more details of the same will be out soon.
