Google appears to be all set to release its current generation Nexus tablet, Nexus 9 made by HTC in India pretty early this time. There are reports circulating all over the webosphere that the Nexus 9 tablet will be launched in India on November 12.
According to an India Today report, the Nexus 9 is listed on the Google Play Store India with the status ‘coming soon’. The report adds that on November 12 this status will change to ‘Available’.
The HTC made Google Nexus 9 was announced earlier this month alongside the Nexus 6 smartphone and Android 5.0 Lollipop update. It is claimed that the Nexus 9 with a 9 inch display is the second big tablet launched in the lineup with the first one being the Samsung made Nexus 10 that went official in 2012 with a very impressive display during its launch.
The Nexus 9 comes with hardware enhancements such as thinner and lighter build and brushed metal sides. It boasts of a 9 inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4:3. Under its hood, there is a 64 bit dual-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with Kepler DX11 graphics unit and 2 GB of RAM.
Imaging wise, the tablet comes with an 8 MP primary snapper at its back and a 1.6 MP front facer for video conferencing. The other aspects of the Nexus 9 include 16 GB and 32 GB of non-expandable internal storage options, Android 5.0 Lollipop, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and LTE or 3G (only with 32 GB variant), HTC BoomSound and a 6,700 mAh battery.
Soon after its announcement, the Nexus 9 was listed on the Indian Play Store revealing its pricing. Well, the 16 GB Wi-Fi only variant is priced at Rs 28,900, whereas the 32 GB Wi-Fi + LTE/3G variant is priced at Rs 44,900. Furthermore, the Nexus 9 origami cover has been listed carrying a price tag of Rs 2,900, while there is no word on the pricing of the folio cover with integrated keyboard.
