Updating the Aqua Star lineup, Intex has launched one new smartphone named Intex Aqua Star II HD. The device supports dual SIM card and has a 5inch HD display to start with. The unit is priced 6,590INR at this moment and it will be available across the offline and online stores throughout the country.
The main attraction of the device is its cool specifications which are being offered for the very low price. There are couples of good and a lot of bad smartphones available in this price range, and this Aqua Star II HD is going to stay in between the good and bad.
Let me tell you why it will happen.
First reason is that it is from Intex brand. Apart from its heavy advertising, consumers are still happy buying Moto E or better value for the price, Xiaomi Redmi 2. Not to forget, Micromax Canvas Spark is also offering a good deal at a lesser price.
The features offered by this phone are good, but it still missed offering an attraction, which can help it stand out from the crowd. The major feature it doesn’t have is the LTE connectivity, which is offered by its main competitors.
So, these are the reasons why this device will face tough competition. Although, if you feel buying this device, then here are the specifications and other details worth noticing.
The Intex Aqua Star II HD is run by Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM. 8GB is the internal storage while there is an expansion slot for microSD card (up to 32GB).
Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS is driving the whole unit out of the box. 5inch HD display is covering the front which is added on an IPS panel that can offer the maximum resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
The camera units have 8MP and 5MP shooters, both at rear and front, respectively. The rear part holds a LED flash and autofocus feature while the front one is the normal fixed-focus one. Face detection, scene detection, panorama, geo-tagging, best shot, HDR, and smile shots are the other features bundled with the rear camera.
3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS are in there along with traditional microUSB port. 8.95mm is the thickness of the unit and it is available in Champagne, Silver, White, and Grey color options.
To run the complete show, a 2,000mAh battery is sealed inside which is stated to offer maximum 6 hours of continuous talk time over the 3G cellular network.
The Mobile Business Head of Intex Technologies, Mr Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, said on the launch, “Through this new launch we aim to define our purpose of unleashing an economically attractive and technologically luring smartphone in the market. Our latest offering – the Aqua Star II HD – is available at an amazing price point. We are delighted to offer such an outstanding product and hope to continue this in the coming future.”
