Karbonn and MediaTek partnership have resulted three new exciting products (smartphones) out of which one is running on MediaTek’s first Hexa-core processor and rest two on Octa-core processor. Karbonn has emerged as a trustworthy among the budget priced Android smartphone section and it’s providing support to its customers with its 870+ service centers.
Three new Smartphones
The three phones launched just now are priced in the budget section only (as you can expect from Karbonn). Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus are what Karbonn had named them and they are priced at Rs 16,990, Rs 14,490 and Rs 17,990, respectively.
One with hexa-core CPU
With a true hexa-core processor, Titanium Hexa is the first phone in India to run on a processor having more than eight cores.Micromax and few other phones are already launched running on Octa-core processor but no one has reached up to hexa-core.
I’m mentioning specs and features of all those three phones down here. The best feature with all of them is that they run on Android KitKat (4.4) operating system. This is the latest version of the most popular OS till now and that’s why I called it as the best feature of all three phones.
All three phones supports Dual SIM cards along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (4.0), GPS and sensors like Gravity, proximity, light, gyro and magnetic.
Karbonn Titanium Hexa specs
Titanium Hexa has got 5.5 inch sized display added on LTPS display which offers wide viewing angles (according to specs sheet, at least) and supports full HD resolution (1920x1080p). it runs on MediaTek MT6591 hexa-core 1.5GHz processor which is supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
It doesn’t have expandable storage option but it does support storage up to 32GB through OTG cable (you can use your data USB drive easily). Titanium Hexa measures only 6.9mm in thickness which is another eye catching feature.
Camera on the back has got 13MP lens while 5MP is on the front. Flash is there with rear camera and it features smile detection, face detection, object tracking, auto capture, Panorama mode, voice capture and off course the much needed auto focus.
Having hexa-core processor is a unique feature on itself but Titanium Hexa also features scratch resistant and oleophobic coated display. These two are the prime features of this phone. It got 2050 mAh battery along with some special features like gesture mode, pop up video and flip cover. This is the one which is priced at Rs 16,990.
Titanium Octane
It features 5 inch display with HD resolution (1280x720p). Display is added on IPS panel and the processor inside is MediaTek MT6592 1.7GHz octa-core. The internal storage is limited to 16GB along with 1GB of RAM and option to expand storage up to 32GB.
13MP rear (auto focus) and 5MP front facing camera are there along with LED flash on the rear. All camera features available in above model are also copied in it. It features battery unit of 2000mAh and got price tag of Rs 14,490.
Titanium Octane Plus
Since ‘Plus’ term is added in the name so it’s an upgraded version of Titanium Octane. It got same 5 inch display but resolution supported is full HD while its thickness is only 7.6mm.
The processor inside is octa-core clocked at 1.7GHz and its supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Extra expandable storage option is there supporting maximum 32GB of size.
Karbonn has gone insane with the camera of this device. It features 16MP auto focus rear camera with flash and 8MP front facing camera. Thus offering the best camera combos till now. Rests of the features are repeated again in camera software. It’s packed with 2000mAh battery unit and priced at Rs 17,990 only.

Over to you
In the era where Moto G, Sony Xperia M and Nokia Lumia 525 doing all good, is there any chance for any of these three smartphones? A hexa-core phone really sounds cool in specifications point of view and having a KitKat OS phone is another incredible feature.
