Karbonn mobile had unveil a new ultra affordable smartphone today which is going to directly compete with recently released new ultra affordable smartphones by Motorola, Micromax and few other brands. Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus is the one which is going to be available at a price tag of just Rs 6,490.
The phone has got some really impressive features at this price but it seriously lacks behind in one particular feature i.e. it doesn’t run on latest Android KitKat version rather it operates on just previous Android Jelly Bean 4.3.
Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus Specs
The main attraction specifications of this ultra affordable smartphone from Karbonn are as following.
- Quad Core 1.2GHz processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 4GB of Internal storage
- Up to 32GB expandable
- 4 inch WVGA display
- Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS
- 5MP rear camera
- Digital front camera
- Dual SIM Card Support
- 3G
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- Proximity and Ambient light sensors
- 1500mAh battery
The main focus of this phone is to offer good multi tasking speed and decent smartphone features at an affordable price which earlier wasn’t possible. Having 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage can easily make multi tasking work smoother and don’t forget the processor is quad-core (another positive feature).
The display measures 4 inch which is little wired for me as most of the phones launch these days normally have display over 4.5+ inch size. But having 4 inch size is just perfect and comfortable for holding and using the phone. Different viewing angles are said to work fine but that we will see during the hands on review of Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus.
The only ‘not so good’ feature is that it runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS and not on the latest KitKat but still the OS version is second latest and provides almost the best version of Android OS.
The rear camera is having 5MP lens which is decent but the thing which attracts me here is the front facing camera. Although it’s just a digital camera but still that’s a good to have thing at this price and it makes video chatting possible.
Now coming at the connectivity part, it supports dual SIM cards simultaneously which almost every affordable phone does these days. One of those two SIM cards can work on 3G network which is another additional attractive feature. To add up here, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also packed inside along with GPS to let you know your exact location.
The presence of Ambient light and proximity sensors further makes this phone a little bit as a smartphone and the device is powered by 1500mAh battery which can surely offer decent battery life. At a price tag of Rs 6,490 this phone is looks really good and let’s see how customer react to it.
