Earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo sent out media invites claiming that it will be releasing the Vibe X2 in India. Following the same, the vendor has released the device today in the country for a pricing of Rs 19,999.
The Vibe X2 carries a unique tri-layered design that comes in different colors and serves various purposes. Well, the first one extends the battery life, the second one to render a high-fi sound output and the third one to double as a kickstand to mount the phone. Users can add couple of innovative click-on accessories called Vibe Xtensions to enhance their user experience.
When it comes to the technical specifications, the Vibe X2 boasts of a 5 inch FHD IPS display that packs a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch. Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek MT6595M True8Core processor ticking at 2 GHz clock speed. This processor is supplemented with 2 GB of RAM to take charge of the multi-tasking department.
Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Lenovo Vibe X2 features a 13 MP primary snapper teamed up with auto focus, LED flash and BSI sensor that will capture snaps and videos without missing any details. Furthermore, there is a 5 MP secondary camera onboard the smartphone that can assist in video conferencing and clicking self portrait shots.
The storage department is ample measuring 32 GB, but for those who tend to install heavy games and applications, there is no facility to extend this capacity externally as the device lacks a micro SD card slot. Connectivity aspects of the Lenovo offering include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality. There is a 2,300 mAh battery that is claimed to provide an enhanced battery backup up to 75 percent.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 combining an impressive design and powerful hardware arrives in different color options such as Red, Gold, White and Dark Grey and it is priced at Rs 19,999. The device will be made available exclusively via Flipkart starting from November 10. Also, interested users can avail the Battery click-on extension for Rs 2,000.
