The LG Nexus 5 has been one of the best selling Nexus devices for Google. In comparison the Motorola Nexus 6 didn’t strike the same chord with smartphone buyers. People have been looking forward to the next version of the Nexus 5 and many have addressed it as the Nexus 5 2015. There have been multiple leaks for this particular device, a leaked case from a manufacturer and a render in the last few days have revealed a lot. The most recent leak shows what looks like the Nexus 5 2015 in flesh.
The image turned up on a Google Nexus Community page from Indonesia, it shows a white device with the Nexus branding. The sticker on the device has the LG logo and has the IMEI print sticker similar to the one found on the Nexus 5. The new device showcases the fingerprint scanner at the back and lot of other details.
There were news that Google was planning to put a fingerprint scanner in the Nexus 6 but decided to skip it at the last moment but it looks like it’s not the case this time. The new Nexus device sports a fingerprint sensor at the back and it comes in time to launch with Android M which has native support. What can also be seen in a protruding camera, the details about the camera sensor is unknown but it looks like they have focused on the camera. The device has dual tone LED flash and Laser Autofocus.
While it is known that the device will have a 5.2 inch display and a USB Type C port. It is still not known as to which processor will be powering the device. I hope that Google and LG make this device a perfect combination of form and functionality.
