Moto X (2014) 32 GB Model Released in India via Flipkart for Rs 32,999

As announced by Flipkart late last week, Motorola has released the 32 GB variant of the second generation Moto X smartphone in India today. The smartphone has been priced pretty reasonably and it is available exclusively via Flipkart for a pricing of Rs 32,999.

The Moto X (2nd gen) is available for sale in two color options – Black and Royal Blue and there is an exchange offer applicable on the device. If you prefer to upgrade to the 32 GB variant of the new Moto X, Flipkart provides up to Rs 6,000 discount provided you exchange your old smartphone with them.

Notably, this discount is applicable only on select smartphones and the discount amount varies depending on the old handset. Flipkart has also confirmed that if you intend to return the purchased Moto X, the old device will not be returned to you. Additionally, if you use a Standard Chartered debit and credit card, you will get 10 percent discount as well on your purchase.

The new Moto X 16 GB was launched in India in September via Flipkart for Rs 31,999 for the plastic variant and Rs 33,999 for the wood and leather back variants. With the launch of the 32 GB variant, the pricing of its 16 GB model has been slashed to Rs 29,999 and Rs 31,999 respectively.

On the specifications front, the new Moto X flaunts a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED 1080p display that carries a pixel density of 423 pixels per inch and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the smartphone is a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad core processor aided by 2 GB of RAM.

The flagship Motorola smartphone comes with an impressive imaging department comprising of a 13 MP rear camera with dual ring LED flash and support for 4K video recording and a 2 MP front facing camera with support for FHD 1080p video conferencing. There are front facing stereo speakers and a 2,300 mAh battery along with usual connectivity aspects. In terms of software, the second generation Moto X 32 GB will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will also receive the v5.0 Lollipop update in the near future, claims Motorola.
