The Google Nexus 6 made by Motorola is making rounds in the Indian tech news as the device was listed on the e-commerce portal giant Flipkart as ‘Coming Soon’. Now, the pricing of the Nexus 6 gets confirmed in the country as the smartphone is listed on Play Store India. According to the listing, the 32 GB variant of the device is priced at Rs 44,000, whereas the 64 GB variant is priced at Rs 49,000.
Google Nexus 6 is priced at $649 (approx. Rs 40,000) for the 32GB variant) and $699 (approx. Rs 43,000 for the 64 GB) in the United States. Eventually, the pricing of the device in India is not too different from that in the other market and though it is expensive it makes sense for the high end specifications of it. The smartphone will be available in two colors variants, Midnight Blue and Cloud White respectively.
Though the pricing of the Nexus 6 has been confirmed, there is no word yet on when it will start shipping in the country. However, it has been announced by Google that the smartphone will be releasing in around 28 countries by the end of this year and hence, we can expect the Nexus 6 to go on sale in India by December for the aforementioned price tag.
In terms of specifications, the Nexus 6 is given a 5.96 inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and a pixel density of 493 pixels per inch. Under its hood, the smartphone employs a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor that is aided by 3 GB RAM for efficient multi-tasking. As claimed above, there are two variants of the Nexus 6, one with 32 GB and the other with 64 GB of non-expandable internal storage capacities respectively.
The imaging hardware of the Nexus 6 comprises of a 13 MP primary snapper and a 2 MP front facing selfie camera. Running on the most recent version of Android, Android 5.0 Lollipop, the device carries a fresh look with Material Design and a host of new features such as 64 bit computing support, battery saver mode and a responsive UI. The Nexus 6 sports a juicy 3,220 mAh battery as well to pump in a decent backup to the smartphone.
