Nokia is striving hard to get back the position it once had in the phone market. Only a few Nokia smartphones are being liked nowadays and the most famous among those phones are the Nokia Lumia series phones. Adding another Lumia phone to the Lumia series Nokia has recently announced the features of its upcoming phone – Nokia Lumia 620. Nokia Lumia 620 is a 3G enabled phone with good battery power. Nokia Lumia 620 will give direct competition to mid-price phones like HTC One SV, Micromax A116 HD, Samsung Ace Plus etc. This phone is actually available in exotic colors like Green, Yellow, Sea Blue, White, Black etc. Here is a deep walk through of this phone.
Likewise all the other Lumia series phones, Nokia Lumia 620 is having Windows Phone OS. To be more précised, Nokia Lumia 620 has got Windows Phone 8 OS. Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS is the latest Windows Phone OS and it is actually getting a lot of positive response from public. Remarkably, there is a completely new generation of geeks that love Windows Phone OS. Windows Phone 8 OS is fast, responsive, elegant and above all it looks so neat and clean.
Nokia Lumia 620 is powered by a Dual-core 1 GHz Krait processor. The chipset of Nokia Lumia 620 is Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, Snapdragon chipset is actually used in a lot of smartphones, and Snapdragon S4 is the latest kind of Chipset from Snapdragon. The GPU of Nokia Lumia 620 is Adreno 305. Summing up the processor column, I feel quite satisfied by the processor quality. The GPU and Chipset combination is what I liked the most.
Nokia Lumia 620 is having a 5MP primary camera with features like autofocus and LED flash. Nokia Lumia 620 has even got a secondary VGA quality camera. The secondary camera could have been better. Everything else looks good in the camera section for a phone of mid price range phone.
Nokia Lumia 620 has got a lot to offer in the data connectivity section. Nokia Lumia 620 supports EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, NFC, MicroUSB v2.0, Bluetooth v3.0 and many more features. The Nokia Lumia 620 will also have Wi-Fi Hotspot. Sensors present on Nokia Lumia 620 include Accelerometer, proximity, compass etc.
Nokia Lumia 620, as mentioned above, is an elegant looking phone with 115.4 x 61.1 x 11 mm dimensions. The total weight of the phone is 127grams. The screen type of Nokia Lumia 620 is TFT capacitive touchscreen with ClearBlack display. This phone even supports multitouch. The screen size of Nokia Lumia 620 is really small, 3.8inch, and the screen resolution is 480 x 800 pixels with the pixel density of 246ppi.
Nokia Lumia 620 has got 8GB of internal memory along with 512MB of RAM. The expandable memory of Nokia Lumia 620 is 64GB via microSD card. Comparing the expandable memory size with other phones of the same price range, the size looks enormous. What really disappointed me is the RAM size. I was expecting at least 1GB from this phone. 512MB RAM is something that is available even on cheap Chinese phones, I mean Nokia Lumia 620 developing team should have sensed the competition in the market first and then they should have launched this phone with so less RAM.
Nokia Lumia 620 is a power packed phone but it could have been the best in class just by adding a few more elements like 1GB RAM instead of 512MB RAM. Hotspot is something that we are going to miss badly along with the Bluetooth v4.0.
