I’ve already done the review of Nokia Lumia 520 which is going to be cheapest windows smartphone from Nokia. But Nokia seems in mood of adding more and more windows smartphones in the Lumia line up.
The price of Nokia Lumia 720 seems to be around $359-389 so it will be an average price smartphone. Now let me take you to the review of the device so that you can make out what all the device has.
First Impression – Nokia Lumia 720
The device looks good as all other Lumia smartphones. I need to say that Nokia is doing good work at least for the Lumia devices. The device looks good at first impression and for you its worth of its price tag.
Design
The design is identical to all other Lumia smartphones but there are few minor changes as well. It seems like Nokia don’t want to lose grip from Lumia devices so keeping the design which people are loving right now.
CPU
Device is packed in with dual core processor having clock speed of 1GHz. Processing is really good and multi tasking feels very smooth.
To back up the CPU it has been provided with the internal 512MB RAM and 8GB storage. The storage can be increased as well up to 64GB using the traditional microSD card.
Display
If you’re looking for a 4 inch display device from Nokia then you’re reading about the right device as it got the 4.3 inch display with resolution of 480×800 pixels.
The display is using LCD capacitive technology with pixel density of 217 ppi. It supports the multi touch and it’s a ClearBlack display from Nokia. All these simply mean that the display section is really good.
Dimension
Nokia Lumia 720 measure about 127.9 mm long, 67.5 mm wide and just 9 mm thick. So the device is made very thick and it’s also very light weight (just 128 grams).
Camera
The primary camera (rear) is having 6.7MP sensor with CarlZeiss optics. The rear camera is packed with LED flash as well and it is capable of recording HD videos (720p).
There is a 1.3MP camera at front as well. The camera section is not as good as these days 8MP rear camera is common but still it’s ok.
OS
If Nokia is thinking that Lumia devices are selling due to the design or Nokia brand then it’s not completely true as people are more serious about the OS inside.
Nokia Lumia 720 also operates on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS from Microsoft and it’s really good. If you’re using android till now then you must buy it to feel the change.
Data
Device is compatible up to 3G HSDPA cellular network and it has got Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC for the wireless data connectivity.
The Wi-Fi is the dual band so you’ll get more speed than the traditional Wi-Fi feature. It also has one microUSB port for data connectivity using the USB cable.
Battery Life
This section is really good as the device is packed up with a non removable battery with 2000mAh ratings. The device is expected to have the battery life of 10 hours over the 3G network and even more with 2G.
Verdict
If you’re waiting for a good looking good performing budget price Windows smartphone then this one is great as it got everything just right according to its price tag. Though the camera section was not impressive but its ok as per the price tag is concerned.
Actually camera is better then iPhones 5, nexus etc Pixels is not everything, it takes very good pictures in low light.
