OnePlus is expected to announce the OnePlus 3 this month, on the 14th. This would also be the first time that a OnePlus device, when launched will not be on an invite-based system. We have enough and more information around the OnePlus 3 already, to the point that it feels like that the device has been launched already. There have been renders of the device, its specifications, to some extent pricing as well as the output from the camera that has been shared made available on the public forum that the internet is.
However, in order to make things a little more official, OnePlus has sent across a media invite, for June 15th in India where it will show off the new device. For most in India, this would be the first opportunity to look at the device and that is when we can expect a lot of coverage around the device and impressions of the same. It would be in this event that you can expect more details to be announced around the device availability including the pop-up shops that OnePlus plans to set up in India in order to sell the phone off offline as well as hand over the waiting folks some goodies for being the first ones to pick the device.
It has already been announced that you will be able to order to OnePlus right from the VR store at the launch, and then from the website in the following couple of hours. If that was not enough, OnePlus is also going to be setting up pop-up events in cities likeĀ Berlin, Paris, New York and London on June 15th. In India too, cities like Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai are going to be a witness to this one of a kind offline sale, though the dates and details of the same are not known yet.
