Nokia has done with their plan to get success for their Lumia lineup. Every single smartphone being launched with Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system i.e. Under Lumia series is doing well for Nokia.
In fact, Nokia started counting profit again due to these Lumia devices. Now Nokia doing more in their Lumia and Asha lineup but what to do with technologies they developed earlier? This is a big question in front of them.
Remember Nokia 808 PureView? The smartphone which was having 41MP sensor camera at rear and that was the first one to get PureView technology. Photographers really appreciated the quality of the camera but it was the software which didn’t helped the device. Nokia 808 PureView was running Symbian operating system.
Now as people started having trust on Nokia’s Lumia smartphone so Nokia can try using its PureView technology with a Windows smartphone.
PureView Technology in Windows Phone
According to WMPoweruser, a device similar to Lumia 920 was spotted having Nokia’s PureView technology at the rear camera. Nokia call it EOS and it was there on the rear camera of that device. The device was running off course the Windows Phone 8 operating system.
So, Nokia is already dealing into bringing the EOS PureView technology to its upcoming Windows smartphone. According to that rumor, the device was having identical looking design to that of Lumia 920 but was remarkably light in weight.
The fact that device was remarkably light in weight tells one thing about that device which is it will not be featuring wireless charging feature. Lumia 920 is very heavy but that due to the Wireless charging system at its back.
Well, for few users this may sound little crap but I still don’t know that people are using wireless charging as permanent option. The traditional charging system is still working fine for me and most of the mobile device users. If not having a wireless charging option can make the device lighter then that will be great as Lumia 920’s weight became one of the reasons why people didn’t go for it.
There is not much detail available of that device till now but we can expect it to have all ongoing popular smartphone features which are already there in Lumia 920. Nokia can also use aluminum to add an extra layer of luxury to that device.
The device rear camera will be covered by an automatic lens cover which will be controlled by the camera app. It will feature Xenon flash as well.
Nokia has already launched two new devices Lumia 925 and 928 this month so now this rumored device is expected to hit in Q3. The device will feature AMOLED display and PureMotion HD+ technology. As a photographer, I’m really excited to see how Windows Phone 8 OS can control the 41MP rear camera. What about you?
