Redmi 2’s rival coming from Micromax Exclusively on Snapdeal

April 10, 2015 by Pawan Kumar Leave a Comment

If you think Xiaomi Redmi 2 is the only best smartphone in 6k pricing group then Micromax is all set to prove you wrong. Expect a new smartphone from Micromax (Twitterians have already named it Micromax Canvas Spark) within this month.

This all started on Twitter when Micromax Mobile and Snapdeal intentionally started a conversation, leaking the announcement of their upcoming challenge for Redmi 2.

As per the conversation, Micromax wants to utilise the Snapdeal platform to exclusively sell its upcoming device. The Indian smartphone manufacturer also called it ‘Nothing like Anything’ which simply means that a killer device is on its way.

The guessing game has already begun and so we thought of sharing this news with you guys here.

Seriously, nothing is official for the moment except for the news that a device is coming.

But, according a recent report published in TOI, it looks like Micromax is all set to bring a new smartphone for the price just below 6k INR. Also, the device is planned to be sold via flash sales (just like Xiaomi does) in order to further strengthen the hype.

Since, it’s looking like a rival to Redmi 2 and Moto E, so it’s not that hard for us to guess the specifications.

Expect it to have 4.3-4.5inch of the display (it may surprise completely with 5inch size) with HD resolution, of course, and to be powered by a quad-core processor.

The RAM will be 1GB for sure and internal storage will be either 4 or 8GB. The Front camera unit is also expected as even Moto E (2nd Gen) has a selfie dedicated camera. Expect at least 5MP and 2MP lens in the camera duo.

For the moment, it looks like Micromax is trying to cover its fail attempt (Canvas A1 AndroidOne powered smartphone, which is still available) by launching an upgraded one.

As a consumer, I would love to have a third challenger in the battlefield.

If it comes out as we are expecting, will you go for it? Also, Yu Yuphoria is also on its way. Stay tuned!
