While the main focus of the smartphone and tablet geeks and users is on the upcoming Galaxy Note III, I found a new device which seems to be coming just after the Galaxy Note III.
Samsung Galaxy Note and Note II have been really successful for the company and people really like these devices. In fact, Galaxy Note was the first smartphone to start of the Phablet section and now most of the high end smartphones are going in Phablet way.
But this time the rumored Galaxy Memo is not going to be listed as Phablet rather it’s going to be a compact version of Galaxy Note for those who were impressed by the features of Galaxy Note and Note II but didn’t went for them just because of their big size.
The concept of Samsung Galaxy Memo seems real to me and it will attract customers. Let me take you the rumored specifications of the Galaxy Memo now.
Samsung Galaxy Memo Specifications (Expected)
The rumored Galaxy Memo is not going to be listed as Phablet (as already mentioned) so the display size is going to be about 4.5” (measured diagonally). There are already many devices with similar display size and also from Samsung but the Galaxy Memo will be having features of Galaxy Note devices and that’s the unique thing.
The display panel is not going to be AMOLED this time but Samsung will try LCD panel in the Galaxy Memo. Having LCD panel in the device will be good as the viewing angles will be better than any other display technologies.
The device will feature a quad core processor with clock speed of 1.4GHz and its going to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean initially, later Android 4.3 update will be definitely there for the device. Samsung will definitely add its own UI skin on the base OS.
The device will pack 8MP camera at rear and there will be front camera too. The 8MP camera will not be having too many features which high end Galaxy smartphones are having but the camera will be of the initial level.
The storage department is going to see a 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Storage expansion option will be there supporting microSD card of maximum 64GB size.
When it comes to Samsung, I don’t like much of its smartphones but I really like Note and Note II. The reason why I didn’t want to buy them is here huge display but as now Samsung seems to be working on shrinking the display size, it’s really exciting for me. Let see when Samsung officially announce this device so that people like me can get Note with them.
This was all I came to know about the device. As soon as next details about the Galaxy Memo get leaked I’ll be sharing them with you here on Nissat. So stay tuned to our blog for more updates.
