Salora, the domestic manufacturer has launched another smartphone under it’s Arya series of smartphones dubbed Arya Z3. It is successor to Arya Z2 launched year. Arya Z3 is incredibly priced at Rs. 6,990 targeting the budget masses. Don’t be misled by its price it packs some best in class features under the hood. The dual sim (GSM+GSM) phone runs kitkat out of the box. Though most of the phones nowadays runs on Lollipop out of the box but considering the price range it is just fine.
Boasting a big 5-inch IPS OGS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels Arya Z3 packs an octa core chipset based on Cortex A7 processor. Technically it has MediaTek MT6592 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Mali 450 Graphics. It comes with 1Gb Ram and 8GB built-in memory which is further expandable to 32GB, which we seen in many phones in the same price segment. Out of 8GB, 6GB space will be available to users for downloading and installing apps and media.
Salora Arya Z3 features 8MP shooter at the back and 2MP front -facing camera. It lacks the wow factor in camera department but considering the price it is not much disappointing. It is powered by a 2200mAh battery.Being an octa core phone it needs more processing power and with 2200mAh it isn’t going to last long. But with the market flooding with alternative charging sources like powerbanks it is not much of an issue.
With metallic finished edges and textured rear panel Salora Arya Z3 sports several interesting features like USB OTG for connecting USB devices, Hotknot and gesture control for quicker and easier operation. At this price range and packing some impressive features it will compete against the likes of Xiaomi 1S and Lenovo’s A6000 smartphones. It is going to be win-win situation for customers anyhow.
Following suit of xiaomi, Lenovo and others Salora International has partnered with Amazon India exclusively to sell the handset.
