Sony Xperia L Specs, Features & Price [Review]

March 26, 2013 by sarvesh

You must be looking for one android smartphone that is having a unique design and here I’m with one such smartphone manufactured by Sony.

It’s the Sony Xperia L and you can have a look at your nearest Xperia experiencing shop but before you should look down for the review of the device that I’ve done.

First Impression

Sony Xperia L

The device looks good and it feels nice holding it as it got a nice grip. Device looks good from front and rear and it’s unique. Display is firmly fixed in the body and so the keys.

Design

The design looks good and unique as already mentioned. At the bottom it has a shinning line of metal strip and at the rear it has got the camera enclosed in the circle with LED flash at right.

The speaker is at the down on rear side and volume and camera key is at the right side.

CPU

The device has got the dual core processor with clock speed of 1GHz that is supported by the 1GB internal RAM. The internal storage is 8GB out of which 5.8GB is available for the users.

The slot for memory expansion is also available and the device supports up to 32GB of microSD card.

Display

The device has got 4.3 inch TFT display with resolution of 480×854 pixels that means the resolution is not even of HD quality but still it looks good. The pixel density is about 228 ppi.

Dimension

Sony Xperia L measures about 128.7 mm in length, 65 mm in width and just 9.7 mm in thickness. It weighs about 137 grams but I think it should be having lesser weight.

Camera

It has got 8MP camera at rear with LED flash and the camera has face detection, smile detection, touch focus, HDR, panorama and geo tagging features.

Sony Xperia L Rear

At front, there is one VGA camera using which you can make the video calls.

OS

It runs on android Jelly Bean 4.1 version that’s a good thing to have but Sony isn’t interested in providing updates of Jelly Bean 4.2 for the device and it’s a negative thing.

Sony has provided almost the same version of OS that it provides with all Xperia devices.

Data

The device supports HSDPA (3G) and 2G cellular network for data connectivity and there are Wi-Fi (dual band), Bluetooth (4.0) and NFC for wireless data connectivity.

For USB data connectivity it has got the microUSB port and the same port is used for charging as well.

Battery Life

The battery life is really good and I must say it was very impressing as it got the 1750 mAh battery.

Sony Xperia L Verdict

The device is good and has almost all the required features that you look in a smartphone these days. The design is also unique which is a plus point and it is available at a price of $259.
