The device which was known till now as Xperia Honami will be launched soon under the name Xperia Z1. With so many leaked news and earlier ongoing rumors are all confirming that Sony is working on it and its going to come out of curtains on September 4, 2013.
The previous device launched by Sony was the Xperia Z Ultra and it was having the Snapdragon 800 chipset which offered 2.2GHz of super speed. The review of Xperia Z Ultra came out good and now Sony is going to use the same CPU again in the Xperia Z1.
Sony Xperia Z1 Specifications
Sony is not going to change the design and Z1 is going to look identical to the Z besides of the fact that the chassis will be made up of some metal which wasn’t the case with Z.
Having metal chassis will increase the antenna by one just like iPhone 5 and it will definitely increase the receiving quality of network. Metal chassis will also add extra strength to the device.
Till now, rumors are confirming that Xperia Z1 is going to feature 5 inch display with full HD resolution. The display is going to be the same as of Z and will be running on Sony’s Bravia mobile engine. Another good thing to come in display of Xperia Z1 is the X-Reality enhancer feature which will definitely bring out changes in quality of the display.
As I mentioned earlier that the processor is going to be Snapdragon 800 which will be a quad core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. There will be 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device will also be having storage expansion option supporting microSD card of maximum 64GB size.
Next big thing in Xperia Z1 will be the rear camera. It is expected that Sony is going to bring its G lens (used in high range Sony DLSRs) into the Xperia for the first time and the rear lens is going to have 20MP sensor.
Sony is also going to introduce the new “lens camera” with the device which can be added up to the Xperia Z1 to increase functionality of device as camera. The front camera is supposed to come with 2.2MP sensor.
The LTE is definitely going to be there along with dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (4.0), NFC, Infra red and the TV out and microUSB ports.
One big question which is still putting geeks in confusion is which version of Jelly Bean will be there in the device when it gets launched. Well, Jelly Bean 4.2.2 will be definitely there but it will be better if it comes with Jelly Bean 4.3.
Sony has already got victory with their Stamina mode in battery life in Xperia Z and Z Ultra and now Sony will carry on the same in the Z1 for sure which means battery life is going to be good.
Sony Xperia Z1 launch
So this was all you about Xperia Z1 and now the last question in your mind will be about its launch date.
Sony is going to announce Xperia Z1 on September 4, 2013 in an event that will be live in Berlin, Germany.
Xperia Z Ultra was missing a better camera and if 20MP G lens camera works great with Z1 then it’s definitely going to be the most successful Xperia device for Sony as rest of the features are going to be impressive for sure.
