Japanese tech vendor Sony has announced the launch of two smartphones in the Indian market and they are the newly launched Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact respectively. Sony has priced these smartphones at Rs 51,990 and Rs 44,990 as they are high-end offerings.
Sony Xperia Z3
The flagship smartphones comes with a 5.2 inch FHD Triluminos display with Live Color LED powered X-Reality engine that renders a brightness level of 600 nits. The handset is incorporated with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor ticking at 2.5 GHz clock speed and this is supplemented with Adreno 330 graphics engine and 3 GB of RAM to take charge of the graphics and multi-tasking departments.
In terms of the storage department, the Xperia Z3 comes packed with 16 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded externally using a micro SD card up to 128 GB. Imaging needs of the users are met by a 20.7 MP primary snapper with Exmor RS sensor, LED flash, auto focus, optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. There is a front-facing 2.2 MP selfie camera onboard that can make FHD 1080p video calls. Other goodies in the device include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL, NFC and a 3,100 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
The Xperia Z3 Compact boasts of a 4.6 inch HD 720p Triluminos display with X-Reality engine. The processor, camera, storage and connectivity departments are identical to the ones in its bigger brother, Xperia Z3. However, the Xperia Z3 Compact includes a 2,600 mAh battery powered with Battery STAMINA mode.
Otherwise, both the smartphones feature a similar design with IP65 or IP68 certifications that make them dust and water resistant.
Pricing and Availability
The Xperia Z3 is available in Black, White, Copper and Green color options and is priced at Rs 51,990, whereas the Xperia Z3 Compact comes in White, Black, Green and Orange variants for Rs 44,990.
