The only thing a smartphone manufacturer can use to surprise us, is the pricing and Xiaomi have been a master in this persuasion field. After getting tons of negative feedback for its Mi4 smartphone, Xiaomi seems to be learning a lesson and that lesson is going to be part of upcoming Mi5. If you are new to the battle, then the lesson was about just changing the design of the phone and not offering better high-end specs in currently available Mi4.
The news about the upcoming device is coming from very popular Chinese social networking platform Weibo. Yes, the same platform which has been actively serving a lot of official information and leaks about the devices before their launch schedules. The news was first covered by MyDrivers.com.
Xiaomi Mi5 Specs
The device is said to feature a Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 5.2inch QuadHD resolution display. There will be space for fingerprint scanner embedded right into the home button.
Home button? Yes, the upcoming Mi5 is sure to possess a physical home button, in order to have a fingerprint sensor, indeed.
4GB of RAM wouldn’t be any surprise while the rear camera will have 16MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, both for images and videos, or maybe just for the images.
Including me, everyone is expecting a fresh design to be carrying the next flagship from Apple of China. The battery power source should be at least of 3,000mAh rating, otherwise that Snapdragon powered CPU won’t last for a single day.
One more thing that’s for sure is that, the display size won’t surpass 5.2 inch size, because the higher size display is already reserved for the Note series smartphones from Xiaomi.
The device is still living in the rumour age, and it will be too early to make any conclusion, based on these rumoured specifications. But, I’m expecting this device to be available during the starting of Q3, 2015.
Thus, you can expect a lot of leaked information making their way out from the manufacturing unit from the next month or surely in the month of June.
Once again, surprise me with the cheaper price tag Xiaomi. I’m eagerly waiting for it. But, if you’re using those high-end specs, then I am suspecting a higher price tag.
