It seems like Microsoft is all set to enter the ultra-affordable price group in India, and this isn’t a rumour. Zauba (Indian Export and Import trade company) record has revealed the device which is likely to be priced around 5k INR.
According to a record, the device is priced 4,578INR but that’s not going to be the price for consumers. The end price is going to be slightly higher, so we are expecting it to stay around 5k INR.
This price group has been targeted by many Indian and Chinese brands in 2015, and it looks like Microsoft is all set to offer a Windows smartphone within the same.
The only detail known so far is that the device is going to feature 4.7inch display (off course, a touch screen), and it is codenamed as RM-1127.
Details also confirm that it will have a single slot for SIM card. No other details are known at the moment, but we have started digging up for more details.
Clearly, the display size and the price listed in the document is zooming in for it to be launched in the affordable section. If it comes out with the price tag of 5k INR, then it is definitely going to attract consumers.
At this moment, the only good device available at this price point is Micromax Canvas Spark, which was launched last month and has already started selling up through Flash Sales via Snapdeal, exclusively.
Two years back, when no better Android or any other smartphone was available in the price group of 10k INR, then Lumia 520 was the only good deal. This device was also the most selling Lumia smartphone.
Looking at that sales results, this upcoming Microsoft smartphone is definitely going to offer a better deal. Let’s see how it comes out in reality.
Stay tuned!
