We are bang at the end of the year 2015 and with the new year standing right at the door, there are new opportunities and several new smartphones coming our way. What a new year also brings with it is the new set of smartphone flagships and plenty of rumors around the same. With the first set of flagships set to be released around MWC, which is usually in February, there is no surprise that we already are hearing a gossip or two about them.
The Samsung Galaxy S series flagship is usually the most keenly awaited smartphone of the first half of the year and with the launch most likely in February. The rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S7, sucessor to the Galaxy S6 will be coming in February and not in one, but three different sizes. The move clearly if it goes through, clearly outlines the ambition of Samsung to reaach out and attract a larger audience than what it is being able to. There is a discrepancy in what is the ideal size of a phone as people with smaller hands do not like big phones, while those with large hands, want devices that are about 5.5 inches and above. The Galaxy S7 will come with a flat 5.1 inch display, the S7 Edge on the other hand will come with curved edges and 5.5 inch display. The largest of the devices will be apparantly the Galaxy S7+ which will have a 6 inch display. The information of hardware specifications are not very clear yet.
The information comes from GSM Arena, who further have attributed it back to ITSKINS in return. So basically the crux of the story is that the phone will come in large, medium and small size, with the large and medium version carrying a curved display.
