ZTE Announces Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini

After much speculation ZTE has finally unveiled the two variants of Nubia Z9 smartphone at a press event in Beijing. The two handsets are dubbed as Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. Let us take a look at these smartphones and what they offer. ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is priced at CNY 1,499 which is Rs. 15,000 approximately and will be available starting April 2. Nubia Z9 Max is priced at CNY 2,499 which is Rs. 25,000 approximately and will be available starting April 16 in China. As of now there is no word whether these smartphones will be available globally or not.

ZTE-Nubia-Z9-Max-and-Z9-mini

ZTE Nubia Z9 Max features a bigger 5.5 inch full-HD IPS display with a pixel density of 401 PPI. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is present to protect the display against scratches. It packs in a 64 bit, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-core chipset and is ZTE’s first smartphone to come with this latest breed of processor. It boasts a massive 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 128 GB with micro SD card slot. Moving on to the camera department it features a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash along with 8 MP  front camera The smartphone features dual Nano-sim functionality and LTE connectivity. Apart from this all the other connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, GPS and Micro USB are onboard. This power packed monster is drawing power from a 2900 mAh battery unit underneath.  The smartphone runs Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box.

ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini features a smaller 5 inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 441 PPI along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This smartphone is powered by an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa core chipset. This is the only major difference that puts it apart from Nubia Z9 Max. Apart from this it features the same 16 GB internal storage expandable to 128 GB and same 16 MP and 8 MP rear and front cameras. It packs a 2 GB of LPDDR3  RAM. It comes with the similar dual nano-sim support along with the same connectivity options and same 2900 mAh battery unit.

Both the smartphones are successor to last year’s Nubia Z7 Max and Nubia Z7 Mini and will redefine the mobile industry in China. There is no details whether these smartphones will be available in India or not. But if launched they alone will take the Indian mobile industry by storm.
