Back in mid November, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE announced the ZTE Grand S II smartphone for the Indian market. The firm mentioned that the pricing of the device will be unknown and that it will be going on sale starting from the last week of November. However, the handset has been officially released today carrying a price tag of Rs 13,999. Those consumers interested in buying the device will have to head on to Amazon India as it is exclusively available via the retailer.
To recap on the technical aspects, the ZTE Grand S II boasts of a large 5.5 inch display packing a FHD screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. This screen size and resolution combination is a part of many other smartphones that are available in the market. The ZTE offering makes use of a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset ticking at 2.2 GHz clock speed supplemented with 2 GB of RAM for swift multi-tasking.
To detail on the imaging hardware, the Grand S II arrives with a 13 MP primary snapper accompanied with LED flash for an enhanced performance even under low ambient conditions. Also, the smartphone arrives with a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter for making video calls. To meet the storage needs, the Grand S II bundles 16 GB of native storage space that can be further expanded externally by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Under the hood, there operates a 2,500 mAh battery that energizes the Grand S II providing an acceptable backup to the device.
The Chinese smartphones usually fair well in the Indian market and the offerings by Xiaomi and Gionee are great evidences for the same. Especially, the Xiaomi products have created the trend of flash sales with the stocks getting empty within seconds via the online retailer Flipkart. We can expect the ZTE device to also sell pretty well in the Indian market, but not enter flash sale via Amazon.
