For Asus, its always quality and innovation in equal measures. While it has been mostly a slow year for tablet but looks like this is going to change soon with Asus launching the latest version of its highly successful Fonepad 7.

Listing Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) on its website officially in January, Asus has launched this tablet around the time when MWC is going strong. Priced at Rs. 10,999, Asus Fonepad 7  is a dual sim (GSM+GSM)  calling tablet and sports a 7-inch, WSVGA IPS display with a resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels.

Well, this is not the most impressive of displays we have seen. It comes with an anti-fingerprinting coating which means that it will not attract finer prints and boasts amazing 178-degree wide stunning viewing angles.

Asus brings some pretty innovative feature every time it launches a product and this time it brings on-board this anti-fingerprint coating which surely be an added advantage and will provide fascinating movie viewing experience.

Fonepad 7 runs android kitkat 4.4.4 out of the box with much anticipated and beloved ZenUI over the top. So overall it will be a nice package considering the price range.

It packs Intel Atom’s Z520 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with 2 GB of ram which will sufficient for daily use tasks and work seamlessly without any lags.

It brings on board 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front facing camera for satisfying shooting experience. With 16 GB built-in memory it supports expandable memory up to 64 GB which is again pretty impressive considering the price bracket.

At 7.9 mm thick the tablet is not among the slimmest but is not at all bulky.  Drawing power from a 3,950 mAh battery, it packs a hoard of connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth  and GPS.
