We all know that BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) will be coming to the Android and iOS. BlackBerry officially announced that they are making their BBM as cross platform messaging app.
Earlier T-Mobile UK stated that BBM will be coming to the Android and iOS on June 27 this year but no such announcements were made yesterday.
BBM for Android & iOS
Now before announcements of the first quarterly income of BlackBerry, its CEO Mr. Thorsten Heins said that BBM will be coming to Android and iOS before the end of the summer.
During the era of BlackBerry smartphones, BBM was the main reason why people use to buy BlackBerry devices. But with the availability of WhatsApp like apps on Android and iOS, demand for BlackBerry moved down.
But BBM wasn’t the only reason why people switched to Android and iOS. There were several reasons and I’m not going to move into them.
Rather I’m excited from the very first day of the announcement of coming of BBM for Android. I know it’s coming to iOS also but right now I don’t own any iOS device but people having them will be excited off course.
Right now, WhatsApp is available for all three platforms i.e. Android, BlackBerry and iOS but this app is working well only on Android and iOS. People using it on their BlackBerry and Windows devices are demanding for updates since months as the current version of the app is not up to the mark.
With the growing use of internet people can now rely on such apps which can let them do unlimited messaging at the cost of data packs.
BBM is already a popular name in the messaging apps and I’m sure people will definitely going to try it for once. If BlackBerry keeps it updated with all latest features that people look in messaging apps then it’s definitely going to be in the trending apps list.
In starting, only those who have used BlackBerry earlier will be waiting to see BBM on their iPhone or Android smartphone. These will be the people who will definitely try BBM just after it gets listed in the particular app store.
BlackBerry has been already successful with their plans for BlackBerry 10 OS and its running devices but still they need to update their previous devices. Let see when they finally announce the BBM for Android and iOS.
