BlackBerry used to be the first and best choice when it comes to smartphones couple of years back and then it lost its position for Android and iOS (particularly Android). Last two years were not good for the smartphone brand as it was all about loss but still it’s not going to leave the war that easy.
Trying everything it could, it launched it’s completely touch based OS, allowed Android apps and games side loading, launched BBM for Android and iOS platform and also offered huge discount on its flagship devices running BB OS 10. Out of these only BBM launch was successful and everything else didn’t worked.
Yesterday, BlackBerry launched a new smartphone running on its new version of BB OS 10 and it’s kept under affordable price range. The new phone is named BlackBerry Z3 and it will be available in India at just Rs 15,990.
With lots of features to attract Indian users and a price which is kept in competition with Android and Windows Phone devices, it seems like Z3 is definitely going to do the trick for BlackBerry this time. Let see what it got in its specs and features bag.

After going through the above mentioned specifications and features of BlackBerry Z3 I can say that this device can easily compete with any other available in the price range and if it was having 8MP sensor at rear camera then it could have easily win the battle (since most of the Indian customers look for specs rather than user experience). Though camera software is very powerful and among the best available in any platform till now.
The recently launched BB OS 10.2.1 is super awesome and smooth and its ability to side load Android apps and games is definitely going to offer option to the customers. A new and unique feature to attract Indian users is that the keyboard supports Hindi and Hinglish typing and to further enhance typing experience, it gets better with time by adapting to how you type.
As per design is concerned it got rubbery rear side (for better grip) while the front side is completely glass. There is a notification light on the top in front which is meanly for notification and there are no buttons on the front. It got flat rectangular design which is sleek, simple and elegant indeed. The 5 inch phablet sized display supporting HD resolution is looking good and BlackBerry kept this size as Indian customers are mostly responding to phablet sized phones.
It can easily work well on Dual Core CPU as the OS is optimized for that and 1.5GB of RAM can easily help the device to allow doing multitasking and high end processing. The SIM supported is micro sized and the microSD card slot is outside (in side bar). The battery inside cannot be removed and it can easily help the device to get 15 hours of awesome battery life.
With all these specs, features, design and software standard, I must say that BlackBerry Z3 is a good device and it can beat any other device in the competition easily. If you’re addicted to Android apps and games then you don’t need to worry while purchasing this device as it can side load them easily. Let me know will you buy it or not?
