Karbonn has announced the launch of a new smartphone called Titanium S20 priced at Rs 4,999. The handset will be exclusively available via e-commerce portal Amazon India from October 2 and it will come with 500 MB of free data from Aircel per month for three months.
When it comes to specifications, the Karbonn Titanium S20 comes with a 4.5 inch IPS display that arrives with a FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels that is pretty standard for the pricing of the smartphone. Under its hood, there is a quad-core processor of unspecified chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM for moderate multi-tasking.
Storage wise, the Karbonn smartphone packs a low 4 GB of internal storage support that can be further expanded externally by another 32 GB using a micro SD card. The imaging requirements of the users are taken care of by a 5 MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a VGA front-facing selfie camera.
Other goodies onboard the Karbonn Titanium S20 include connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS and a 1,600 mAh battery to power the device for moderate hours.
In addition to the launch of Titanium S20, Karbonn has also let another smartphone dubbed Titanium S29 Elite on sale via online retailer Snapdeal for Rs 7,600. This handset is fitted with a large 5.4 inch ultra clear capacitive touch screen display of unknown resolution. There is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor in this smartphone with 1 GB of RAM.
Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Titanium S29 Elite features an 8 MP primary camera at its back and a 1.3 MP front-facing selfie camera for video conferencing. The handset comes packed with connectivity aspects such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and dual SIM functionality and is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery.
Of course this smartphone has a gigantic display, but we have no clues on the screen resolution that will decide if the handset will be readable or not. Also, there is no information on when this smartphone will be announced officially.
