Lava Iris 370 phone is available at 3,599INR with 3G & KitKat OS

April 21, 2015 by Pawan Kumar

At the price point of 3.6kINR, there are many devices available in India, and Lava has launched another one, named LAVA Iris 370. Since this device is new so it definitely holds a better and latest specs, somewhat.

Apart from that price tag which is staying just at the start of affordability (or maybe even lesser than that, depending on what you call affordable), it offers 3G support, which is the real deal.

If you want to use Facebook, WhatsApp, WeChat, or any other similar household applications which are getting way too common, then this device can help you stay connected.

Lava Iris 370 specs

Let’s see what it got in that plastic package. Starting at the design part, it does look good, especially with its special chin at the bottom, creating a distinction.

1GHz clocked processor is the main power source which is bundled with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB of storage.

Android 4.4 KitKat is the OS booting the device and it’s a good thing to have this (almost) latest version of the Android within, at least, rather than some old ones. 3.5inch diagonally measured display is at the front having 480×320 pixels of resolution.

2MP rear camera is there while there is also a front facing camera with VGA lens. This is really going to be a selling point in this device as it is offering a selfie camera (no matter what quality) at this very starting price point. A LED flash has also found its spot on the rear, which is another cool gizmo.

As I added a couple of times above, 3G is supported by the device, and no doubt, it holds two slots for two different SIM cards (dualSIM card). Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features are also in there.

The only thing this cool package is missing is the GPS sensor, which is getting very common in every next smartphone. But, even if it was there with this device then it wouldn’t be of much use because of very low RAM and storage.

The battery source inside is measured 1,300mAh and it is claimed to offer a continuous talk time of 9 hours over 2G and up to 5 hours on the 3G cellular network. Not bad, huh?

Should you buy Lava Iris 370?

If you can afford to add 1-2k more to the budget then you can easily find devices with more RAM storage. But, in every other case, you should go for it, after checking all competition.

Stay tuned!
