Maxx Mobile, an India based manufacturer of handsets and accessories has come with a feature phone dubbed MX200. The highlight of this handset is the inclusion of a 5,200 mAh battery in the device adding it to the Power House category. With such a powerful battery, the handset can charge other mobiles as well.
The Maxx MX200 features a 2.4 inch display and comes with 8 GB of storage space that can be expanded externally by means of a micro SD card. Also, there is dual SIM support along with connectivity features such as Bluetooth, GPRS and FM Radio. The MX 200 comes with a digital camera at its back for basic photography and supports up to 3 languages such as English, Hindi and Gujarati.
The handset is available in two color options such as Full Black and Orange with Black. Maxx has priced at MX200 attractively at Rs 1,848 (via online retailer Infibeam) despite its long lasting battery backup of 10 to 11 hours of talk time, rugged build and powerful torch. It is claimed by the firm that the handset will be made available via more online retailers soon.
It has to be noted that the firm announced the Maxx MX100 feature phone in 2013 with a juicy 4,400 mAh battery that could double as a power bank to charge other devices. Following the huge response from the consumers for this handset, the vendor has come up with its successor, Maxx MX200. It is evident that this new feature phone from Maxx is targeted towards the rural regions as it delivers a great backup enabling the device useful under long hours of power cuts.
Regarding the launch, Mr. Ajjay Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Maxx Mobile said, “As pioneers in the mobile segment in India, our product offering is driven through strong consumer insight. Our consumers in the semi-urban segment and in rural areas need phones with good battery life and rugged to sustain rough conditions. We continue to remain committed to offer consumers products with best quality at attractive prices.”
