Taking things further and bringing a much-needed feature, Microsoft has announced the touch-friendly versions of its Office Apps for Windows Phone platform.
The all new apps are in the Preview version at the moment, but the full version will be available till the end of this month. Yay!
In every new Windows Phone OS running smartphone or tablet (including Surface tablet PCs), there was a lack of touch-friendly Office apps.
Users were always complaining of the incompatibility and now it seems like Microsoft is on the verge of taking care of all those complaints.
If you love the Office apps but don’t use Windows smartphone (for any reason) then you’ve missed the earlier news as there are already compatible versions of these apps available for iOS and Android platforms.
Only the Windows Phone was left, which is now taken care of.
The Preview version of the whole Office pack is available to download and you can use it right away.
For all your basic document creation and editing related work, you don’t need to pay anything for any of these apps but once you feel need for advanced options, then you need to buy Office 365 subscription.
Also, Office 2016 version is on its way, which will arrive in the second half of 2015. This new version of the productive software package is going to be for PC users.
Microsoft wants to make sure that every Office apps look similar, whether you’re using an Android version or iOS one or Windows Phone or even at PC. The 2016 PC version of the package is going to feature the same.
We are still few weeks away from the global unveiling of the Windows 10 OS (both for phone and PC platforms), and such news are helping the circulation of the cool breeze.
Stay tuned!
