With the start of 2014, newer technology gadgets have started debuting. In CES 2014, lots of newer gadgets were introduced that were running on the upgraded versions of technologies introduced till now. In this year, it is expected that number of smartphones will equal to the population of the world. This clearly shows how popular smartphones are getting these days and I’m going to share here the most anticipated smartphones of 2014.
People are having huge expectations from the brands like Apple and Samsung but we may also see good response to the Nexus and Moto series smartphones of Google. We may also see a new breed of smartphones with flexible display and better user experience.
Most Anticipated Smartphones of 2014
Following are the most anticipated smartphones of 2014 which will break all the previous records set.
Apple iPhone 6
Earlier at the time when iPhone 5 was about to launch, people were expecting that Apple will introduce a smartphone with either a flexible display or a transparent one. Lots of models were made which we saw in various YouTube videos but Apple ended up everything by simply increasing size of the display to 4 inch and a better industrial standard design.
But this time it is expected that the iPhone 6 may come with a flexible display. LG and Samsung had already launched their flexible smartphones last year. As the iPhone 6 launch event will be either in 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2014 so till then Apple has got ample time to develop a better user experience via flexible display iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S5
Galaxy S4 was merely a success for the Samsung but this time it is expected that Samsung will learn from its previous mistakes and provide newer flagship smartphone with better user experience and impressive design added with better quality build material.
I just hope Samsung to stop thinking of increasing display size further (if they planning so) and start working on providing a smartphone with a unique eye catching design, quality built material, better software and at least one day battery life.
HTC One+ or New HTC One
HTC is going through a bad time but HTC One has done remarkably great. We already saw lots of leaks related to newer version of HTC One which may be called HTC One+ and will be launched in this year later.
HTC won’t improve the design as it’s already superb but they had to rethink over the rear camera quality and the software they prepare out of the stock Android.
Sony Xperia Z2
With Xperia Z1, Sony entered the war of the mega pixels as they added 20.7MP rear camera with ‘G’ lens in it but users didn’t liked the display quality of the device.
All other things of the Z1 were superb but display is the first thing via which users interacts with all features of a smartphone. This year, the expected updated version of Z1 needs to have a better an upgraded display. Another challenge after Sony is to develop a better version of software using the stock Android. If the fail in doing so then people will move towards Nexus smartphones (it already started happening).
A New Windows Lumia Super Phone
Lumia series is the only one which is doing great for the Nokia and saving it to get listed with HTC and BlackBerry. This year it is expected that Nokia will start working with same passion and will deliver a newer and upgraded version of Lumia smartphone or may be a super Lumia phone.
Google Nexus 6
Last but not the least, personally I want to see what Google brings next in the Nexus 6. The sales graph of Nexus 5 is already boosting as users now aware of the benefits of using pure version of Android but as per the hardware of Nexus 5 is concerned it is still behind other super phones mainly in terms of camera and display quality.
