Spice Mobile has refreshed its earlier available Stellar 526 smartphone with a newer and slower version. The earlier smartphone was running with a hexa-core CPU while the new one is going to run over an octa-core CPU.
This is the only difference in both old and new devices and the newer one i.e. Spice Stellar 526, is going to be available for 7,999INR only.
Right now, the device will be available at Saholic e-commerce store and it will soon hit the offline retailer stores too. For the price of 8k INR, Stellar 526 is looking good.
Spice Stellar 526 Specs
Other than its octa-core CPU which is clocked 1.4GHz, it got 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and 5 inch HD display. Following are the complete set of Stellar 526 specifications.
- 5 inch display
- HD resolution with IPS Panel
- Octa-core 1.4GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB Internal storage
- Android 4.4 KitKat OS
- 8MP rear camera
- 3.2MP front camera
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity
- 2500mAh battery
The device is said to come in metallic finish design which is iconic to its predecessor. The design you’re getting at the price you’re paying is good enough.
There are already few options like Redmi 2S, etc are available in this price range which are also offering similar specs but Spice being an older brand in India, can win the trust. Also, we shouldn’t forget the fact that Xiaomi Redmi 2S is only available through online e-commerce stores.

With 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage, the performance part is going to be good. The storage can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The octa-core processor with Mali GPU (model not specified) can deliver good experience when it comes to game playing.
The display uses one cell IPS panel and stretched to 5 inch of size diagonally, making it count among phablets. Also, the HD resolution is there to showcase good standard of visuals.
The rear camera got LED flashlight along with autofocus feature built in with 8MP camera. It can take good quality pictures in optimum lighting conditions. The front facing 3.2MP wide angle camera is there for selfies and it helps the device to win the battle in selfie ground (only in this price range, of course).
With the standby time of 280 hours, battery life seems to be good but I won’t think the 2500mAh power is good enough to help the device stay alive for the whole day on normal smartphone usage.
No other details are known so far but the device really looks good in the price range of 8k INR in Indian market. According to the officials, all new Spice Stellar 526 will be available at offline retailers around the country, Spice hotspots and Saholic store soon.
