Yu is known for its extravagant product launches. We are used to seeing Rahul Sharma take the stage and make larger than life announcements. However, if the stories in the industry are to be believed then it looks like Micromax and its sister company, Yu are looking to spread its wings more in the services sector rather than jostling for space in an already crowded hardware space. There is validation to this theory as it looks like Yu has quietly gone ahead and launched its latest smartphone, the Yu Yureka Note.

There were reports in the last month that Yu had imported a substantial number of these handsets bearing the model number YU6000 and despite that we did not hear anything officially from the company. Either one of those handsets have by mistake been outed, or Yu has just decided to gradually lower the ship in water, whichever the case, the device is here and everything that was rumored is true.
The phone comes with a 6 inch Full HD display and is powered by an Octacore MTK 6753 chipset. There is 3GB of RAM on board and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded thanks to the support for Micro SD card that the device has. The rear camera is 13 MP while the front-facing snapper is 8 MP. The battery on the device is 4000 mAh, and you have Android 5.1 running on the device. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device and only black color is reportedly available. The pricing of the device is Rs 14,999 and will be available offline.
