April 21, 2015 by Pawan Kumar

Hey there, ZTE wants your attention!

No matter whether you like this brand or not or maybe you are reading about it for the first time, here is something that can start the love for this brand, within you.

After unveiling its hulk flagship, Nubia Z9 Max, ZTE is preparing the launch of its next smartphone i.e. Nubia Z9, which has been already leaked in pictures.

As per the pictures leaked till now, the device is having an eye-catching bezel-less display. Literally, there is 0 (zero) bezels around the left and right side of the device.

But that’s not the only thing which is going to make this device great, as per the plans of ZTE.

As covered by PhoneArena, a new teaser initially break out showcasing a new and unique feature that is going to be part of Nubia Z9’s display, and that’s been already given a fancy term, ‘3d edge touch display’.

The General Manager of ZTE, Ni Fei, quoted that it was Nokia who started the revolution with first QWERTY keyboard, back in 1990s, which was followed by second revolution, done by Apple with its touch screen iPhone.

Now, if you were waiting for the next revolution then ZTE is bringing that to your home and it’s being called “third interaction revolution”.

Since, ‘interaction’ word is there so we can expect that ZTE is bringing something unique in the display, which is part of upcoming Nubia Z9.

There have been few prototypes available on the internet showcasing how 3d touch can change the way we interact with the display but ZTE is going to be among first one to attempt that, and also making it available for consumers.

The only detail known at this time is that that 3D edge touch will allow users to make phone calls, open camera, activate the shutter, and few more things, with an ease.

Since, there will be no bezels around the sides, so the device seems to hold a kind of sensor at the location where bezels were supposed to be present. Interesting, right?

It will be too early to conclude anything firmly on how it will work or what it will look like, but the company has already made it clear that this feature will be available as API for app developers to make use of.

Snapdragon 64-bit octa-core will be powering the device along with 4GB of RAM, and it will have a 21MP camera at the rear. No other details are known so far.

ZTE is also reported to be working on a new affordable smartphone that will have fingerprint sensor.

But, we at least know the data when Nubia Z9 will be launched.

Its 6th of May, 2015. Stay tuned!
